ESG Strategy

Our contribution to the UN sustainable development goals is mainly in the following areas

Our social and environmental responsibility is a purposeful and consistent contribution to the fulfilment of society's interests based on the Paris Agreement and the UN Sustainable Development Goals. We take into account our economic, social and environmental impacts in our business activities. To this end, we have created an ESG strategy and assessed important areas of influence arising from our core business, assessed stakeholders, set ESG goals and analyzed the risks of meeting these goals.

We have assessed energy use, drinking water use, product quality and safety, sustainable procurement, GHG footprint, responsible and transparent business, employee health, well-being and safety of the working environment as the most important areas of influence.

In 2020, we participated for the first time in the responsibility and sustainability assessment program in Ecovadis, where we were awarded a bronze label for sustainability, in 2021 and 2022 we were awarded a silver label, and in 2023 with a gold label.

BUSINESS ETHICS

It is important to us to be an ethical, law-abiding and responsible company that cares about the environment, employees and all partners who work with us.

ENVIRONMENT

Since 2010 the company has had the environmental management system certificate ISO 14001. In 2017 we built a bio-treatment plant to clean the wastewater from production and thereby reduce the load on the local settlement's wastewater pipeline.

QUALITY AND FOOD SAFETY

We have the FSSC food safety certificate since 2019 - it is very important for us to offer consumers high-quality and safe food. We pay attention to the origin and ingredients of the raw materials we buy. Since 2021 we use eggs from only cage-free chickens and raw materials containing eggs from cage-free chickens.

PACKAGING

Since 2024 we have switched to 100% FSC* or PEFS** certified flow paper and cardboard for the packaging of finished products with our first major client. By 2025 the goal is to switch to flow paper and cardboard with the same labels as regards the entire Chef Lundén product range. If possible, we also involve other customers.

EMPLOYEE WELFARE
